"The FT40 has really been keeping me going while I am trying to lose weight. It is definitely more encouraging to keep up with the exact number of calories burned instead of not knowing.

Now I really know that every calorie counts, and I am sticking to my diet much better. it helps me make sure that my workouts are burning up the most calories I know what zone will burn the most fat. VERY motivating! The FT40 is really simple to learn how to use, and I am technically challenged! The chest band is fits perfectly, I hardly know it's there. "Right out of the box, I could figure out most of the basic features of the Polar FT40 heart rate monitor.The watch and menu are simple to use and easy to work with.

The assigned fitness zones are really helpful to use; I love knowing what your body and heart are doing during a workout. Also, the training functions (heart calories, time, fat burn and fitness) are logical and easy follow.

I am now able to monitor my training information, and transfer it to the Polar website. I can see my progress charted on a graph!

A few days ago, I took the integrated Polar fitness test, which showed me the progress of my physical fitness after 4 weeks of training. I have done so well, I decided to write this FT40 review!

It is really handy that the Polar FT40 can be worn as a regular watch, in addition to a sport watch, and I even wear it while diving!"

The Polar FT40 stands head and shoulders over some of the cheaper models we looked at. It awas a decision between the FT40 and the RS300X. My husband chose the FT40, and I couldn't be happier!

My running has improved dramatically, and so has my weight training, which is something I did not expect! The alerts really keep me on the ball, and the fitness test is a perfect tool for measuring progress.

The chest strap fits comfortably and the watch itself is comfortable and looks good. Originally, we bought the FT40 mostly for my husband, however I wear it more than he does, which is the reason I am writing this FT40 review!
